We are a family owned business located in the greater
Vancouver area. Mark Hinkson is the founder and president
of the company and has over 35 years experience in
the painting and contracting industry.
His first commercial contract was on his grandfather's
/ uncle's (Gordon / Don White) Home Hardware warehouse
which is still located in Oshawa Ontario.
Since then Mark has completed a huge number interior
& exterior projects including: new and existing
residential, commercial and industrial.
Mark owned and operated hotels and restaurants for
several years;
both his own and family businesses. This gave him
many opportunities
to be involved in major renovations and makeovers
on his own buildings
and homes. This included a multi million dollar atrium
convention hotel
called the Mark Gordon Plaza, which because of high
interest rates in
the mid 1980's never got built. He and his Dad then
purchased a large hotel / convention / restaurant
complex, in which they did extensive
renovations on an on going basis.
Mark
designed and architected his own high calibre night club,
dining room and lounge, in a post and beam brick wharehouse.
Everything was custom built including Old English millwork
with lots of brass, plants and gorgeous aquariums built into
the bars. The wood posts, beams and brick walls were all sandblasted
to their natural state. The club sported a unique open style
gazebo DJ booth with a sit up bar on one side and a large
dance floor and antique elevator on the other side. The mayor
and all of the city councilors gave Mark a prestigious Heritage
award, which in turn gave so much media exposure that it became
the #1 club.
Mark has also received several other awards throughout the
